First Prize in Competition

The project was developed as a competition entry for an architectural design for the C PRIM building - an extension of the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Medicine PAN in Warsaw.

The main focus was to fit into the existing urban tissue as well as possible, considering different layers: the layout of existing properties, functional connections with adjacent C building, existing pedestrian and vehicle communication paths. The building is placed and oriented in a way that closes and fills the layout, while at the same time the functional organization allows the new structure to operate independently. A simple and clear horizontal facade follows divisions of surrounding buildings.
